What information we collect
BER collects personal information only when you submit a rental inquiry or privacy request, and some limited technical data required to run the website. The rental forms can collect the following:
- Identity and contact: your name, email address and phone number so BER can follow up.
- Rental request: equipment choice, preferred date, duration, delivery or pickup preference and where you are working.
- Location and notes: project city/ZIP, optional or required delivery address depending on the request, and any project or site-access notes.
- Technical and security data: hosting access logs, browser requests and a temporary, pseudonymous spam-rate-limit key derived from the connection address.
Purpose: to respond to requests, review equipment suitability, location and availability, provide quotations, and protect the website from misuse. Your rental request is not a confirmed booking. No payment-card, driver's license or ID information is requested by these forms.
How inquiries are handled
Rental inquiries are stored as private records in a WordPress administrator-only inbox. The website's current setup does not automatically forward these messages to an unverified business email. BER staff must review the requests and respond using the contact information supplied.
Privacy requests submitted through this page are stored separately in a restricted WordPress privacy-request inbox. No automated booking or identity confirmation is performed.
Who may receive the information
Authorized site administrators and technical service providers supporting web hosting, website maintenance or security may have access as needed to carry out their duties. Information can also be disclosed when lawfully required.
The current form workflow is not designed to sell submitted inquiries or share them with advertising data brokers. If BER adds analytics, marketing systems or a third-party CRM, this policy should be reviewed and updated before those tools collect additional information.
How long information is retained
Records are kept based on whether an inquiry is active, whether a rental transaction follows, applicable legal and business recordkeeping obligations, and the need to resolve disputes or protect the website. No automatic deletion period is currently configured for the form inboxes.
You may request deletion or correction using the form below. BER may retain a record when an applicable legal exception or obligation requires it.
Cookies and third-party services
WordPress uses essential technical features and may place cookies for authorized administrator sessions or site functions. The hosting provider may record technical connection logs. Pages load Google Fonts resources; those requests may disclose connection details to the font provider.
When this policy was prepared, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel scripts were not detected in the homepage HTML. This should be checked again if tracking, advertising or integrations are installed later.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be entitled to ask what data is held about you, request a copy, correct inaccurate details, ask for eligible information to be deleted, or object to certain uses. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies to the business, including rights to know, correct, delete and exercise applicable opt-out choices without unlawful discrimination.

Security and children
The website uses HTTPS connections and administrator-only access controls for its internal inquiry records. No online method of storing or transmitting data can be guaranteed to be entirely secure. The site is intended for equipment rental customers and is not directed to children.
